Video Final

Music Video

 Our task was to and a song we enjoyed and then recreate the music video. This project took about a month including pre production. the biggest challenge we faced was probably the weather because it was either snowing or raining, but we still were able to find a time to film. the most important thing I learned during this project was probably how to lay out a beat sheet, and how to work with a group on a large and lengthy project. Most feedback we got was about our lighting because it was very cloudy. We could have avoided this by fine tuning our cameras settings. One thing we changed was that we removed a verse fro the original music video because it was too lengthy and unnecessary. Overall i thought this project went very well and there was a lot of good communication with group.


Short Film 

We had to right a script for a short film then actually produce this film. it took about a month and a half start to finish. One of the biggest challenges was probably finding a time to film when everyone was available, thats why its very important to make a calendar during pre production. What I learned is that communication with your teammates is absolutely necessary. Some feedback we got as that the audio was very quite. To fix this next time we need to check out a boom mic. Somethings we changed was that we were constantly changing the script to make things sound more natural. I feel like this short film was a success but I would like to do it over again and improve a bunch of things such as audio.

Time Management

 Overall I used my class time wisely and effectively. When I finished projects I stayed productive my helping other students. Outside of class I watched editing tutorials in order to improve my skills.

Areas of strengths/Areas of improvement 

 One of my areas of strength would be collaboration. I am very good with communicating with my teammates and working with others. Some areas of improvement would be my technical skills. I definitely need to learn how to use the camera settings better, and could also improve my editing skills. To improve those skills I can easily find video online abut them.

Short Film

 My role in our short film was to complete the story board and I was also an actor. I learned a lot about script writing and story production from this project. The most important thing I learned though was probably how to right my logline and synopsis. It definitely wasn't the most entertaining thing but it will come in useful.


Summary 

 My favorite part about this semester was probably the amount of freedom we were given. I honestly wouldn't change a thing about this semester I thought it went very well, and that is was taught excellently. One overall take away from this semester would be that communication is key. One goal I would like to set for next year is to get more comfortable with the cameras. Overall I really enjoyed this semester an I am very exited for Entertainment next year.

2020 Film Reel

My film reel is meant to portray teen life, adventure, and a little bit of conflict. I feel that this reel mainly showcases cinematography, and editing, and lighting. I used beat sink on some of the shots but not all so it didn't become predictable and boring. I also had some actions happen to the beat of the song. When ending my film reel I chose a really bright outside shot full of warm colors, I chose to do so because it ends the reel on a positive note. I also only choose shots that were really cinematic to include in my film reel. Thats probably why my reel was shorter than a minute, but I plan to add a lot more work after the completion of my music video. I used three works in this film reel: Perfect Putty,  Levis Commercial, and Wimp. For the most part transitions between these pieces worked pretty well, but there are a few jarring cuts because of drastic lighting changes. Ball Bounces

Overview  We had to make three animations that included a ball bouncing. One with a vertical bounce, one with a arc ing bounce, and one where we create what ever we want as long as it incorporates a bounce. All three of these animate were made in photoshop. What I Learned I learned how to make video timeline animation in photoshop. We started off by making a background and a ball. Then we made multiple layers with our ball and the direction it goes. Next we turned the layers into frames and made it a gif. How It Went Overall it went very well and was very. There were some parts that were difficult, like when I accidentally deleted all my frames. Overall it was a fun project and a great learning experience

My Personality Type

INTP For my personality type I got INTP (Introvert, iNtuitive, Thinking, Perceiving). What all that means is I often get lost in my own thoughts and make spontaneous decisions and like a flexible schedule. They also seek to understand and find explanations. Some activities INTP's like would be reading, art, or any sort of cultural activities.   How Does it Describe Me I think the INTP personality type describes me pretty well. Trait like they get lost in thought and seek explanation describe me very well. While on the other hand traits like neglecting decor and appropriate clothing do not describe me. Did It Help You Understand Yourself It didn't really help me understand myself because I already knew a lot of these things about myself.
