Website Portfolio Project

Overview For our e-Comm portfolio project we had to make a web page about ourselves and some of the projects we have worked on throughout the year. The home page included a elevator pitch and a few links. On the project page we put several of our projects and the blog post that went with those.  What Did I Learn I learned a ton of things about Dreamweaver during this project. One of  the many things I learned was how to embed links and how you could get them to open in different tabs. Another thing I leaned was how to customize your background and text color to make the page your own and give it personality. Overall it was a great learning experience and gave me a basic understanding of dreamweaver.  How Did It Go It went pretty smoothly most of the time but there were a few small difficulties. Sketchup House

Overview  For our project we were given the task of making an house in Sketchup. We had to pick a house from housplans.com that was at least 500 square feet. Then we would have to recreate that house in Sketchup and it had to look somewhat similar to the one you chose. What We Did  So we started out with a simple cube the size of our houses dimensions. Then we added stuff such as the roof, steps, and porches. After that we did more detailed things like windows and railing. Then one of the final things we did was add the textures to our house to make it realistic and unique. We also had to find two of our own textures of the web to make our house even more unique. Outcome  Overall I think this was a very good project and a great learning experience. By makeing a house in Sketchup it alowed us to get used to Sketchups tools and physics.
