Music Video

What Song and Why We choose to do Why do You Feel So Down by Declan Mckenna. We chose this song because everyone liked it, and it had pretty straight forward format to follow. The theme we wanted to portray was a retro exercise video. Production    We started by completing the beat sheet for our video to get the shots straight. We then planned out dates to film, these date got changed quite often because of the weather. We chose to film at union station because of the backdrop of Kansas City. Pre-Production For my project I was looking for light hearted quotes that weren't to serious. I then chose fonts to go with the most important words it the quotes to add more meaning to the words. I chose simplistic and clean fonts for the more neutral words and statements. Production One of the things I learned from this project was how to distort and manipulate fonts. I also had to create outlines for the text in order to fine tune it and make it visible for others to view without downloading the font. I preferred working in black and white because I liked the simplistic look and it mad everything seem really balanced. Post Production  Overall Im pretty impressed with the outcome. My favorite quote I did was  "Imagination is more important than knowledge'' - Albert Einstein, I really like the colors and the rocket graphic I mad. I do think some of the quotes would have looked better if they were just left in black and white.
