Photoshop Challenge

Nature Man  When I got the image of the man I immediately got the idea to stick to a theme of some sort. So theme I chose was Los Angeles. From the beginning I wanted to put some sort of sunset on the mans jacket. So I used a layer mask to take an image of a sunset in LA and put it on to his jacket. I also chose the lighten blending mode so I could still see some texture from his jacket. Then I chose an arial view of LA as the background. I had to create a layer mask of the man in order to make this my background. I also chose to turn the brightness/contrast up on this layer. Then to finish it off I put clip art of  the word Los Angeles behind the mans head. In my opinion it turned out very well, and I am looking forward to learning more photoshop tools to create more complex pieces.

Photoshop Lessons

Overview For this project we had to watch several photoshop tutorials on how to use various tools. Some of these tools include   Content Aware Fill, Patch Tool, Clone Stamp Tool, Healing Brush Tool, and Spot Healing Brush. I thought these tutorials were a great way to get us used to a   unfamiliar software. Content Aware Fill Content aware fill allows you to remove small blemishes and unwanted objects. It works best on a simple background that doesn't have a lot of different patterns. In this photo I removed several small blemishes on the brick wall.  Patch Tool The patch tool enables you to select large areas of an image and swap it out with a color, pattern, or texture from another spot on your image. This is useful when you have larger spots or blemishes that content aware fill cant remove. In this image I removed an unwanted graphic from the blue shirt.                     ...

Self Reflection

Describe For my self-portrait I chose to film a comedy skit. It was a parody of survival videos made by people like Bear Grylle's. What this shows about me is that I like to make people smile and laugh. I always try to incorporate comedy into whatever I do to lighten the mood. This video also shows that I don't just give up when things don't go my way, because it started to rain and I continued film anyways. Explain I chose to film the video outside because it was meant to be a survival skit, but weather was not on our side and it decided to rain. In the end it was a good thing though because it added to the comedic affect. I also chose to film and zoom in an amateur way to try and make the video funnier. I didn't really have a choice for the lighting because it was overcast, and i don't have any studio lights, but it turned out fine anyways.  Reflect One of the challenges I faced was that the audio got washed out because of the heavy rain in the backgr...

Quarter Reflection

4th Quarter Project  For our end of the year project we had to create a product and a company. To go along with this we also had to make a website, commercial, logo, animations, and advertisements. for our product we chose the Warp Watch, a watch that also you to travel through time to fix your mistakes. I learned a lot of stuff along the way such as imbedding logos into SketchUp, and how to change the CSS designs in dreamweaver. some feedback that we got was that our website was to bland, to fix that we went back and aded more shades of blue to the webpage. My opinion of my work work in quarter four is that I did a pretty good job of collaborating with my group, and coming up with ideas that we all liked. I also think this project has improved my time management and collaboration skills.  How Did I Use My Time Some of the activities I completed during my class time were the banner, the 3d design, and the scripts for our presentation. At times that i finished...

CSS And CARP Designs

Overview For this project we took a pre-made HTML and applied a bunch of CSS rules. Some of these rules include font style, family, margin spacing, color, and line hight. We also linked the original to the page we added all the styles to. This was a great project to get us familiar with editing CSS styles. Contrast  We created bold titles so it would contrast and draw your eye to it. We also added color to important text like the title so it would stick out. Alignment   We made the text left align because it makes it easier to read and it looks really clean and organized. It also would look really off if we made this page center aligned. Repetition We have repetition in the color of the title and link because it shows up in the dogs fur color. This really helps everything look unified and connected. Conclusion This was a very well put together project that got us even more familiar with dream weaver. It also helped us figure out locations of CSS sty...

My Personality Type

INTP For my personality type I got INTP (Introvert, iNtuitive, Thinking, Perceiving). What all that means is I often get lost in my own thoughts and make spontaneous decisions and like a flexible schedule. They also seek to understand and find explanations. Some activities INTP's like would be reading, art, or any sort of cultural activities.   How Does it Describe Me I think the INTP personality type describes me pretty well. Trait like they get lost in thought and seek explanation describe me very well. While on the other hand traits like neglecting decor and appropriate clothing do not describe me. Did It Help You Understand Yourself It didn't really help me understand myself because I already knew a lot of these things about myself. But it did give me some career categories such as math and science. How Do You Work In Groups In groups I am usually that helps people understand the concepts. I also keep everybody on track to make sure it gets done ...

A To B

What We Learned  Throughout this project we leaned a great many things about filming and editing. One of the biggest things we learned is you have to get all your shots with natural lighting done on the same day because one day it may be cloudy then sunny on the next. I also learned how to use a bunch of new audio and visual transitions. How We Did It For this video to be interesting we had to include a bunch of different movements and shots. Some of these movement were walking, running, and even tripping. Some unique camera shots we use were close up shots of the feet and shots from an elevated level. This really pushed us to be creative so we could make an entertaining video. Reflection  Overall thought this was a great and fun project. It gave us the chance to practice our camera techniques and get us more familiar with Adobe Premier. It also gave us a chance to be more collaborative and use teamwork. This was a really awesome project and i would not change o...
